Sisterhood: from competition to deep connection

For centuries, women have been taught to see other women as competitors. This deeply rooted pattern stems from a society that conditioned women to distrust, compare, and compete with each other. But a new era is dawning. More and more women feel the call to stop viewing one another as rivals and to embrace each other as allies. Sisterhood—a deep, authentic bond between women—is rising, and it’s no coincidence.

The Age-Old Programming of Rivalry

Competition among women is not a law of nature but a conditioned pattern passed down through generations. Historically, women were made dependent on men for social status, protection, and financial security. This created an unconscious struggle for attention, recognition, and safety. The patriarchal system reinforced this dynamic by pitting women against each other and placing them in narrow categories: the saint or the sinner, the mother or the career woman, the nurturing or the ambitious one.

This division is still visible in society today. The media often compares women, fuels speculation about conflicts between them, and encourages competition. Think of reality TV shows that thrive on female rivalry or how successful women are frequently scrutinized. The underlying message is clear: there’s only room for one.

But more women are recognizing this old programming and choosing to step away from it. They realize that true power lies not in competition but in collaboration.

Sisterhood: What Does It Really Mean?

True sisterhood goes beyond surface-level friendship or feminist slogans. It means supporting each other without judgment. It’s about seeing one another in both vulnerability and strength, without jealousy. It’s about creating space for each other’s growth without fearing that it will diminish our own.

Sisterhood is an energetic field where women come together to heal the collective wounds of rejection, fear, and rivalry. This healing happens through:

  • Acknowledging instead of comparing – Rather than thinking, “She has something I don’t,” we can view another woman’s success as an inspiration.
  • Making space for vulnerability – By being open and honest about insecurities, fears, and desires, true connection emerges.
  • Growing together instead of competing – In a world where women support each other, abundance replaces scarcity.

The Healing Power of Women’s Circles

Women’s circles—gatherings where women come together to share, heal, and connect—are a powerful way to bring sisterhood into practice. In these safe spaces, women can share their experiences without fear of judgment. They can release old wounds of rejection and rivalry and feel what it’s like to be supported by other women.

This is not a new movement. In ancient cultures, women always gathered in circles: to share stories, heal, sing, dance, and pass on wisdom. This timeless tradition is now returning to modern times.

The Impact on the Collective Feminine

When women stop being divided, something fundamental shifts in the collective field. Energy moves from separation to connection, from jealousy to cooperation, from fear to trust. This transformation affects not only personal relationships but society as a whole.

Women who come together in sisterhood create a powerful energetic network. This field is healing, transformative, and essential for the shift to a new consciousness. It holds the key to a world where feminine energy is no longer suppressed or distorted but fully acknowledged and celebrated.

The Invitation

The invitation is simple yet profound: How can we bring sisterhood into our own lives? What small, conscious choices can we make to support other women instead of competing with them?

Maybe it means supporting a friend’s growth without jealousy. Maybe it’s offering a genuine compliment instead of quietly comparing. Or simply recognizing that we’re all on a journey, and there’s enough room for everyone’s success, beauty, and strength.

Sisterhood isn’t a trend—it’s a return to something we’ve always known deep inside. And the more women walk this path, the stronger the collective becomes.

Because when one woman lifts another, she lifts the whole world a little higher.

Do You Want to Start a Women’s Circle?

Do you feel called to start a women’s circle but aren’t sure how to go about it? Maybe you’re uncertain about the structure, how to attract the right women, or how to create a safe space for genuine connection. This is completely normal. Setting up a women’s circle requires a mindful and attuned approach, where you’re clear about both the practical and energetic aspects of your intention and role.

In a mentorship session or reading, we’ll explore what you need to establish or deepen your women’s circle. Together, we can look at:

  • Energetic alignment – What is your unique strength as a facilitator? What is the deeper intention behind your circle? How can you keep the energy clear and pure?
  • Structure and flow – What format suits your circle best? Will you include rituals, themes, or open sharing? How do you guide the dynamics among participants?
  • Safety and boundaries – How do you create a space where women feel safe to open up? How do you handle emotional releases or group dynamics?
  • Practical considerations – How do you attract the right women? How can you ensure the circle becomes a sustainable space for connection and growth?

Whether you’re just beginning or have experience leading women’s spaces, we’ll align with what you need to create a circle that feels powerful and supported.

The world needs your light. Your voice. Your space. Let’s build a new reality together where women lift and strengthen one another.

Exercise: Strengthen the Energy of Sisterhood

This exercise helps you deeply connect with the energy of sisterhood—both within yourself and in connection with other women. It’s a powerful way to release old patterns of competition and comparison and to experience a deeper sense of trust and connection. You can do this practice alone as an inner journey or with a group of women as a ritual.

Step 1: Create a Sacred Space

  • Find a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed.
  • Light a candle and place flowers, crystals, or other symbolic items that represent feminine energy to you.
  • If practicing with others, sit in a circle and invite everyone to silently set their intention.

Step 2: Connect with Yourself and the Energy of Sisterhood

  • Close your eyes and take slow, deep breaths.
  • Bring your awareness to your heart and feel it open. Imagine a soft, warm energy radiating from your chest.
  • Visualize this energy expanding to all the women you’ve met in your life—those who have supported you, challenged you, or whom you may have seen as competitors.
  • Allow any emotions that arise to be present. You might feel love, gratitude, pain, or sadness. Breathe through it gently.

Step 3: Release Old Patterns

  • Picture yourself standing in an open field, surrounded by all the women who’ve played a role in your life.
  • Look them in the eyes and notice what comes up—perhaps old wounds or moments of rivalry.
  • Silently or aloud, speak this affirmation:
“I release old patterns of competition and comparison. I choose to see women as my sisters. I honor their strength, and I honor my own.”
  • Take a deep breath and visualize a soft golden light dissolving old pain and replacing it with connection and trust.

Step 4: Reach Out to a Woman in Your Life

  • Think of a woman with whom you’d like to deepen or heal your bond. This might be someone you feel close to or someone with whom you’ve had a complicated relationship.
  • Write her name down and reflect on what you’d like to say—perhaps gratitude, an apology, or simple recognition of her journey.
  • If it feels right, send her a message or offer a small gesture to strengthen the connection.

Step 5: Share Your Intention with Others

If you’re practicing in a group, you can close by looking into each other’s eyes and speaking an intention aloud, such as:

  • “I choose to see women as my allies.”
  • “I celebrate feminine strength instead of comparing.”
  • “I embrace the power of sisterhood and release old wounds.”

End with a shared breath or a gentle gesture like holding hands or placing a hand on each other’s hearts.

Reflection

Take a moment to feel what this exercise has brought up for you. Journal about your insights:

  • What beliefs about female connection surfaced?
  • Did you feel resistance, sadness, or relief?
  • What did you let go of?
  • How do you want to integrate sisterhood into your life moving forward?

You can repeat this exercise as often as needed. The more you consciously choose connection and support, the stronger the field of sisterhood becomes. And the more women who embrace this path, the faster we co-create a world where feminine energy flows freely.
