Maybe this sounds familiar: you dream, you meditate deeply, or you take ayahuasca or another plant medicine – and wherever you go, you always seem to end up in a strange, heavy place.
Not loving. Not warm. No open skies, no welcoming guide. Instead, a kind of grey, uncomfortable atmosphere. Sometimes cold. Often distant. And occasionally even a bit hostile.
Meanwhile, others talk about encounters with light beings, universal love, ecstatic unity or heavenly downloads.
But for you? It's like you’ve opened a completely different door.
One that leads to a place you didn’t ask to visit.
And then the question might come: what am I doing wrong?
But maybe that’s not the right question at all.
The astral field is not one fixed place
The astral field is a kind of in-between layer – an energetic realm that sits between the earthly and the higher dimensions. It contains energetic residue from human experiences, collective memories, emotional imprints, but also parallel realities and souls that haven’t fully moved on.
We enter this field when we dream, journey, meditate, or travel out-of-body. Also through plant medicine or deep states of trance. But: the astral field is not just one place. It’s layered – like a spectrum of frequencies, similar to tuning into a radio station.
And what you receive depends on what you resonate with – consciously or unconsciously.
That can be beautiful. But also confronting.
Why you might keep ending up in a denser layer
There are several reasons why you may repeatedly land in a heavy, uncomfortable astral field:
-
Unprocessed emotions or pain
The astral field mirrors your inner world. If there’s unacknowledged grief, shame, fear or suppressed anger, these may manifest as dark places or energies. Not to punish you – but to offer healing. -
Soul patterns or energetic contracts
Sometimes we carry astral links from past lives or unfinished soul agreements. This can include old vows, karmic entanglements or leftover trauma loops. These become visible in the field as repeating patterns. -
You're a ‘fieldworker’
Certain souls have chosen, consciously or not, to move through dense collective spaces to bring clarity or healing. You’re not in the wrong place – you're doing deep, often invisible, work. -
Your vibration is temporarily lowered
Stress, overexertion, emotional overwhelm or a sense of disconnection can draw your consciousness into lower-frequency layers – where everything simply feels heavier. -
You're travelling without conscious preparation
If you enter altered states without grounding, protection or intention, it’s easy to wander through portals that you weren’t ready for.
What to do when you keep landing in a dark space
You don’t have to endure or suppress these experiences. They are an invitation to greater awareness, clarity and energetic sovereignty.
-
Set a clear intention before you journey
Say it out loud or in your heart: “I only travel to realms that are loving, nourishing and for my highest good.” Intention is an energetic compass. -
Surround yourself with light
Visualize a golden cocoon, sacred geometry or your personal power place. Call in your guides, ancestors or Higher Self. Create a protected field around your journey. -
Raise your vibration beforehand
Ground. Breathe. Move. Cry if needed. Listen to music that opens your heart. Bring your body and energy into a state that welcomes loving connection. -
Ask the field what it’s showing you
Rather than feeling overwhelmed or afraid, turn toward it with curiosity:-
“What are you reflecting back to me?”
-
“Is this mine, or am I carrying something for someone else?”
-
“What part of me needs attention here?”
-
-
Explore soul contracts or lost fragments
Sometimes, the same field appears again and again because something remains unfinished – an old soul tie, a broken promise, a lost part of yourself. Releasing this requires inner work, and often support.
Light and dark exist side by side
It’s important to remember: the astral field is neither fully dark nor fully light. It is a space of reflection and possibility. What you encounter often tells you more about your own inner journey than about a “fixed reality.”
You are not wrong for ending up in those places. You don’t need to judge yourself or question your spiritual path. On the contrary – your consciousness is guiding you exactly where something wants to be seen, felt or freed.
And sometimes… it’s just too much
There are moments when it feels like too much to carry or explore alone.
You want clarity, guidance, grounding – or simply someone to walk with you without judgment.
Then you are very welcome.
In my readings, mentorship sessions and QHHT sessions, I regularly support people who feel stuck in repeating astral loops or heavy energetic fields. Together, we look at what’s truly going on, where the opening is, and how you can realign with your own light, truth and power.
You don’t have to do this alone.
